Liberty Over Violence exists to help all animals through public demonstration, educational campaigns, promoting a cruelty-free and compassionate lifestyle, and working towards changing legislation. LOV strongly believes that all nonhuman animals have inherent value and interests independent of their usefulness to humans. They deserve a life that is free from exploitation, confinement and suffering. "Being kind to animals is not enough. Avoiding cruelty is not enough. Housing animals in more comfortable, larger cages is not enough. Whether we exploit animals to eat, to wear, to entertain us, or to learn, the truth of animal rights requires empty cages, not larger ones."

22nd NATIONAL ANTI-FUR DAY With Valentine's Day fast approaching, many people are searching for the right gift for their loved one. Please express your love for humanity, the animals, AND the earth this Valentine's with compassion - choose gifts that are not fur or fur-trimmed. FUR IS NOT GREEN! Join us to educate the public about the fur industry. There will be banners and posters to highlight this event, literature to distribute, and vegan baked goods for volunteers.
DEMO DETAILS When: Saturday, February 12th, 2011
Where: HOLT RENFREW - 50 Bloor St W, Toronto (Bay and Bloor)
Time: 1:00PM - 2:00PM Posters and leaflets provided. We welcome fellow activists, volunteers, members and local animals rights groups to join in this demonstration in support of National Anti-Fur Day. ARK II and LOV will be promoting awareness about the exploitation of animals, humans and the environment to the public. Whether you're comfortable engaging the public and handing out leaflets or would prefer to quietly hold a sign, there's a place for you at this demo!
If you're unable to attend in person, you're encouraged to call Holt Renfrew between the hours of 12pm and 1pm on Valentine's Day at 416-922-2333. Let them know you won't be shopping in any of their stores so long as they put fashion above compassion. We LOV animals, Liberty Over Violence
